Outgoing Staff Mobility

Requirements

• Academic staff members/teaching staff

  It is essential to focus on the academic content of the stay at another institution.

  Outgoing staff should have the opportunity to lecture and/or develop academically relevant projects, act as a counselor for local students or as the member of an examination board. Teaching has to be prioritized.

  For a mobility period of up to a week, there should be at least 8 hours of teaching.

• Administrative staff members

  The focus during the stay should be on activities that are relevant to the staff member's position at KEA.

  Optimally, one should be able to job shadow a colleague with a similar job, participate in meetings/workshops with international colleagues in order to further develop knowledge and competencies within a particular field of interest.

• Duration

  Staff mobility typically lasts from two (minimum) to ten days, not including travel time.

  If one travels within Europe to an ERASMUS+ partner institution, it is important to involve KEA Global.

  Together with the contact person at the host institution, one has to prepare a preliminary programme. 

  Overseas travels have to be approved separately.

How do I prepare for staff mobility?

• Before Staff Mobility

  1. Think about what goals and tasks you might want to achieve with your staff exchange. Read this guide (in Danish) to help you on your way. 

  2. Contact KEA Global to discuss possible destinations and get approval by your leader.

  3. Prepare a short CV in English, including a description of academic competences/current work tasks. Max. 1 page in total.

  4. KEA Global will get in touch with the potential host institution and will establish contact with a mentor/contact person.

  5. Negotiate a work plan with the mentor/contact person.

  6. Once the staff mobility is confirmed, book flights and accommodation. 

  7. KEA Global provides the required paperwork (ERASMUS+ staff mobility agreement for teaching or training). 

  8. Make sure to have a valid blue EU health insurance card and a valid passport.

• During Staff Mobility

  1. Document your stay with photos and take notes for a presentation for your department.

  2. Get in touch with KEA Global if you need support.

• After your Staff Mobility

  1. Fill out the travel expense report. Have all receipts for transport, local tax, or other miscellaneous expenses ready.

  2. Share your experiences with your colleagues.

  3. Have a debrief with KEA Global.
