KEA Global arranges courses and workshops on internationalisation, culture and language.
Their aim is to encourage reflection on cultural differences, inspire to international collaboration and networking and to boost global communication and languages. The courses are marked for students or for staff/teachers.
Most of the courses and workshops are free of charge (see under “Price”).
We really recommend that you consider taking this course. While it’s rather easy to get by in Denmark without knowing Danish, it’s often nice to learn the basics of the language to feel a bit more connected to the local community, co-students and so on.

Settling in Denmark is easier if you speak a little Danish.
Although Danes tend to speak English, you’ll get a deeper connection and make friends easier, if you’re able to communicate in Danish. This is also important if you need to prepare for an internship or a job in Denmark at a later point. In return, you’re bound to build up a network – for the benefit of your social and professional life.
KEA has contracted with the language providers, UCplus. The courses are free of charge, however a deposit of 2000 DKK is charged upon registration. The deposit will be paid back to you once you’ve completed and passed your module.
Whether you are a Beginner or Intermediate at learning Danish, UCplus will find the right course for you.
Once you’ve signed up, KEA’s new language provider, UCplus, will contact you to find your level of Danish and to hear which location you’d prefer to have your classes.
Instead of having to learn Danish after work hours at the other end of town (and having to pay), you can learn Danish with your colleagues at one of KEA’s locations during the day, free of charge.
These Danish classes are tailored to fit the needs of international teachers at KEA. The focus is on conversation, understanding and talking Danish.
Course instructor: The Danish courses are held by KEA’s external partner, International Communication, who are experienced providers of professional language for business life and for private individuals.

Would you like help with your English? This could be sparring on a presentation that you are going to make in English or a short brush-up course. It could also be that you want regular training and aim to take your English to another level.
As these sessions are run as one-to-one meetings, you can decide almost exactly what kind of English support you’d like.

This is a great collaboration project between KEA and 10 other institutions from 7 countries in Europe.
The course is for teachers who wish to develop their intercultural awareness and their English language for teaching in the international classroom. Participants discuss issues and exchange reflection about teaching through English. Each participant is matched with a partner in a tandem, and talk and write on a virtual platform.
