UPM is a classic and very well renowned technical architecture school with hundreds of international partnerships.

They have a very service-minded and welcoming international office, helping the exchange students settle, choose subjects and sort out the paperwork. UPM has a variety of laboratories and workshops, where students experiment with building materials and learn about installations, building techniques etc. The focus is not only on design and creativity but in particular on the building process and technical aspects.
At UPM, exchange students tend to have a close dialogue with their teachers, and it’s easy to meet other exchange students. The welcoming Spanish culture makes it easy to adapt to life in Madrid, too.
